About Ouro Preto
Ouro Preto is a municipality in the State of Minas Gerais there are 100 km distant from the capital Belo Horizonte.
It was the first Brazilian city to be declared by the United Nations Educational, scientific and cultural, historical and Cultural heritage of mankind; in the year 1980. It was one of the first cities in the world to get that title, thanks to invaluable architectural and artistic collection of colonial period of Brazil.
Ouro Preto also stands out for its cultural activity being the seat of the Winter Festival-Forum of the arts. Throughout the city, one can find a part of the history of Brazil. Its beauties and attractions are many: the houses, the streets still preserved enough with the original shim, the works of the sculptor Aleijadinho, the countless options of adventure sport, museums, bars, restaurants and inns.
For the Black Gold tourist reservation but its architecture and historic importance, a Rico and varied ecosystem around, with waterfalls, trails and a huge secular area of native forest, which had the happiness to be protected with the creation of State Parks.
