About Lençóis Maranhenses
The National Park of Lençóis is located in the state of Maranhão, in the northeast. The park is a Brazilian conservation unit full protection of nature. Its territory is distributed by the cities of Barreirinhas, Santo Amaro do Maranhao and First Cross. Lençóis stands out due to the ecosystem with dunes, salt marsh and wetlands, in addition to the strong winds and frequent rain.
