Caeté is a city in Minas Gerais located in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte, just 53km from the capital. The city was founded in 1701 after the discovery of gold mines in a region of dense virgin forest. Hence the origin of your name in Tupi language means "real bush" through the junction of the terms * ka'a * ("kill") * and * eté ("true").
